4-month check-up and more

4-month check-up

G1 ended up getting sick also. He is having trouble with his breathing again. Matt took him to the doctor yesterday and he was prescribed Orapred (oral steriod) and we were told to give him his breathing treatments every 4 hours. Well, this morning I had to take him back to see the doctor as well as go in for G4's 4-month check-up.
G4's temperature was finally down today. At the doctor's office her temperature was 97.3 degrees.
G1 weighs 30 lbs and is 37 3/4 inches tall.
G4 weighs 13 lbs 15 oz and is 25 inches. Everything seems good. We were told to start baby cereal. She got 3 shots. Poor baby has been so cranky all day since then. G1 was very upset about her getting shots. He had tears in his eyes. He told Matt (after we got home) that it made him mad.

Sunday morning, not feeling well.

G1 got in trouble for not behaving. He kept trying to leave the room.

Jumping rope

A while back I bought jump ropes for all the Gs (they were on sell for cheap). I was going to keep them put away until next year but the "big" Gs really wanted to play with them. So, last week we let them play with them. They all enjoyed it.

Shrub

Our shrub is really pretty. G1 loves going out and watering it with Daddy. We have had G2 and G3 water a couple times now too. They all think they are so grown up when they water it.

We found a preying mantis (sp?) on it the other day.

G3's hair

Finally G3 sat better than G2 did to get her hair done. They both looked so cute with high pigtails in their hair. (Don't mind my messy table in the background of the one picture.)

Miscellaneous

The Gs tried on Matt's glasses the other day. I only let them have them on long enough to get pictures. They are all so cute in them.

I'm pretty sure Matt wasn't asleep but they looked so cute together like this that I couldn't resist taking a picture.

G1 got into a cup of pudding. He was so proud of himself.

G2 "driving" a car.

4 months old

G4 is 4-months old today. When we got up this morning she looked so big to me.
All of us girls are sick today. G2 and G3 have bad colds and their breathing is real harsh. G4 woke up at 5:30 this morning with a temperature of 102 something. I had the chills last night and today I just feel blech.

One year ago today...

I went to the doctor and had the blood work done to confirm that my littlest bundle of joy was in the oven baking. At that time I wasn't really sure how to feel but I know I wouldn't have it any other way. She is such a delight and we all love that she is a part of our family. After finding out we waited awhile to start telling everyone because I didn't want to deal with any negative reactions (which we did get from quite a few people). Now everyone that knows her absolutely adores her.
Right now she is on the floor in the living room squealing and chewing on her fingers. Such a little cutie (if I do say so myself...)

Air show and lots of stuff

Friday we were able to eat lunch with Ryan, Anissa, and Ginny. It was fun seeing them. They were in Burlington for Nathaniel and Tiffaney's wedding (that was Saturday). Congrats to Nut and Tiffaney.

Saturday was the air show at the airport in Burlington. We went to walk around and see the airplanes. We got the kids' pictures taken in a medical helicopter. I wanted that picture of G3 since she had been in one when they were born. G1 informed me while we were there that he wants an airplane for Christmas.

G3, day she was born getting ready to board the helicopter:

G3 on the helicopter on Saturday. She is such a big girl now and I am so happy she is so healthy. As hard as it was to say goodbye to her the day she was born I know it was the best thing for her.

After we left the airport we went to Great-Grandma Fairlie's (and Aunt Becky's) to watch the air show and for a cook-out and to sing "Happy Birthday" to Great-G'ma. The Gs had fun running around. It was good to see everyone that was there.

While we were there the Gs found some caterpillars and played with them. G2 even held one (BIG SURPRISE!) but I wasn't able to get a picture of her with it because the camera batteries died. :-( But first G1 and G3 saw a grasshopper.

Aunt Rhonda made the 3 older Gs some blankets and gave them to Mom for them. G1 was excited that his says his name on it. They all love blankets so much so this was great. I was hoping I would be able to hang them on their walls but I don't see them allowing me to do so.
(BTW--Jessie, I get TONS of compliments on G4's car-seat blanket. I thought you would like to know that.)

Yesterday Dean and Matt started work on the down stairs bathroom. I am so happy they did. I am so excited for it to get finished (but I am realistic it may take some time with Dean being on 1st shift now). They got the tub, toilet and sink out. Here is their progress:

That is the link to see what the before pictures are.

This morning G2 sat still long enough to make her hair really cute. Her hair seems to get longer and longer every day. Hopefully G3 will decide to allow me to really play with her hair soon; although it isn't quite as long so I can't do as much with it.

Shopping, potty training, hair, and yoga

Tuesday Matt, Mom, me and the Gs went shopping. We needed to get some jeans for all the Gs and other clothes for this fall/winter. We went to this really cool shopping center (I think that's were I need to go anytime I feel the need to shop, I loved it that much) that had a couple play areas; which the Gs loved of course.

G2 and G3 are finally are starting to get enough hair that I can play with is a little. If I don't do anything with the top they look a little funny sometimes. They have practically no hair on the top front part of their heads, but it is really coming in on the back of their heads.

This is me trying to really play with what little hair they have (G2 is the only one to let me do it):

Yesterday G2 and G3 once again got out of their duct taped diapers and got poop EVERYWHERE in their bedroom. It was the absolute worst mess I have ever had to clean up. It, however, was not the worst that has been done in this house. No that mess was made by G1 and Matt and Marcia cleaned it up. So, anyway, I decided right then and there I was going to go to the store (after G1 was up from his nap and everyone was cleaned up) and buy the girls underwear and get another potty chair. The girls picked out their own underwear and seemed pretty excited. They each have their own potty chair, all 3 are different. I didn't plan that it just worked out that way.
Today I put them all in underwear and we are starting potty training. G2 probably isn't ready but if I am working with only G1 and G3 she would throw a fit. That is a fight I don't want to mess with. G3 did really well. She only had 1 accident today. Right now they are down for a nap (and G2 and G3 are actually asleep!!) and once they wake up we will be going at it again. Wish us luck! I hope this process doesn't take too terribly long--but if it does I know it will be my fault so I won't be able to get mad about that.

The other evening I got down on the floor and did what little bit of yoga I actually know. The 3 "big" Gs got down on the floor with me and did yoga too. Yesterday they were practicing their yoga skills again. It was so cute. G1 calls it "Yoda."

Here are some pictures of G4 and some sleeping pictures of all the girls and G3 in the exersaucer:
