Toddler Beds

We decided to change the big girls from their cribs to toddler beds. Since they are climbing out of the cribs anyway we figured this is going to be safer. So, Tuesday evening Matt and I got their toddler beds set up. When I talked to them about what we were going to do they seemed really excited. But once we moved the one crib for G4 out of the way and started turning the other crib into a toddler bed they didn't seem to happy. At first G1 was not happy that we were giving "his big boy bed" to his sisters, but he got over it quickly (the white bed is the one we got for his 1st birthday).

After we got the toddler beds all ready G1, G2 and G3 jumped around on the beds for awhile. Once it was time for bed G2 was not happy at all. She screamed for quite a while. G3 did like she always does at bed time and just laid there looking around, chewing on her "Happy" thing.

This is what I found when I went up to check on them before going to bed myself (G2 fell out of bed right after I took this picture):
This is what I found when I went up to check on the girls tonight. I couldn't even get the door open wide enough to get through. (This is G3 by the way.)
After G1 and I's eye doctor appointment Thursday we went into the optical part of the office to order my new glasses and pick out Matt's safety glasses. G1 helped try some on.
G1 and I both got our eyes dilated. G2 and G3 enjoyed playing with the sunglasses things that I got to protect my eyes from the sun.
Oh, yeah. Aunt Marcia came up for the day to watch the girls so Matt could drive G1 and I to the eye doctor. We had a lot of fun with her.

This is what Matt found when he got home from work last night. Normally the kids are in bed no later than 8 but last night I needed to get Marcia to the train station and when I got home and got the kids in G1 wanted to cuddle on the couch. I was okay with that so he went and got all of their blankets and "Happys" (yes I know that isn't spelled correctly but "Happy" is the name) and we all laid on the couch and fell asleep. (The above picture ^^ was taken after Matt picked up G2 and then decided she needed a diaper change. Her legs are filthy because they had suckers and got all sticky and I just didn't get them cleaned up.)
Matt decided that was a perfect opportunity to take a family picture. He's a silly guy. :-)

18-Month Check-Up (a month late)

Today was G2 and G3's 18 month check-up. Let me start this by saying...

Tuesday Matt had an eye appointment. We went and they didn't have him down for his appointment. I had them check to make sure they had G1 and I down for ours on Thursday. Nope. They did end up getting Matt in (with a different doctor--the one he should have been scheduled with in the first place) and made G1 and I's for the same time it was already "scheduled" for. Matt's getting glasses (he's going to look sexy!) and I'm getting new one's. G1 doesn't need any for now.

Okay so back to today. We go in and I go up to the window to check the girls in (this is there first time seeing this doctor). They didn't have us down for their appointments. I gave them the appointment card to show them that they did in fact schedule us. That was pretty frustrating to not "have appointments" twice in the same week. But whatever it was taken care of. They got the girls in, just not right on time.

Onto the girls' stats:
G2 is 20.5 lbs and 30.5 inches
G3 is 20 lbs and 31 inches (first time ever for G3 to be taller)
I had them weigh G4 also to see where she's at and she is 11 lbs 1 oz! She's growing great.

The appointment went well. We go back in December for their 2-year (can you believe they are getting so close to 2!!?!?). They needed to get their lead levels checked. So, we went upstairs to the blood draw lab to get that done. G3 did great; barely made a sound. G2 also did great; she is definitely my daughter though--she screamed her head off.

*ETA--We have to keep an eye on G2's left eye. He noticed it turned out a little when he shined his light on it. He said it's nothing to worry about right now though. I had never noticed it before. Hopefully it's something we will never need to worry about.

Cookies!

The other day I pumped some breast milk and had Matt try to feed G4 a bottle. She didn't get mad but she made it clear that she was to have nothing to do with a bottle. It doesn't really bother me. I don't mind being the only one that can feed her. That is our time and I really do love it.

This is the only picture of G1 in this post. He had just woken up from a nap. He's such a cute 3-year old.

Saturday morning we planted the new shrub we were given as a house warming gift. It is so pretty.

First time sitting in the Bumbo (we still have this if you ever want it back Ashley). I was seeing if she could hold her head up well enough to use it in the shower.

After the shower.

Today I made some sugar cookies for G2 and G3 to decorate (G1 is spending time with Grammy). I frosted them and then let them have the sugar sprinkles to put on. They loved it; they loved eating them more. G2 has the blue frosting, G3 has the red.

G4 is such a sweetie! I took these (and about a million others) after I put the big girls down for a nap.

This video is just because I think it's great to just watch G4 and I wanted to share her sweetness with all of you.

When I went in to check on the big girls this is what I found:

I put them back in their beds and went to check on them again a few minutes later and this is what I found:

They never did stay in their beds and G2 did not get a nap at all today (G3 took a morning nap). I sure hope they go down for bed tonight.

YAY G4!!

She rolled from her belly to her back a couple times this evening. YAY!!

In other news; G2 and G3 can now climb out of their cribs. I have very mixed emotions about that one!
